Farahnaz Karim holds a DPhil from the University of Exeter and an MPA from Harvard University. She spent a decade in the Gulf as an academic and a few years in Afghanistan, and the region, as a humanitarian and development practitioner. She served as an electoral supervisor after the Bosnian War.
